One HUGE problem
With any one of the melee weapons, you have to be well in attacking range to do any damage. Without brillaint luck, every kill yields another hit in the higher ranges. Psy doesn't recharge quick enough to remedy this, so that's definately not the answer.
Otherwise, great game ;)
I loved the goofy/arcadey feel to the whole thing and the great death scenarios...it was just too short.

An absolute classic and amazing all the way. Shows how far you can go with AS programming alone.
I love this thing, I must've completed it at least 3 times and loved every bit of it. The only problem is that there's not really much of an ending to speak of when it comes down to it. Still, amazing to play. Thanks for this gem.
It's sad to see a game that could've been so great so marred, but the card system simply doesn't work, completely relying on blind luck that doesn't show up 99% of the time. Also, rescale gold and xp gains, nowhere near enough to see you through the ogre/troll/whatever it is, let alone the further guardians.
There's not much more to say about this. Simply, legendary. Pretty damn edgy at the time, and a huge leap forward in AS. It's a wonder you coded what you did, absoutely ingenious. Oh, and a gem to play. End.
I absolutely love this game, the combat is one of the most refined engines I've ever seen. The only problem is the boss difficulty, not where you have to strategise or pace yourself, simply the ones that are unblockable, unkickable, and unstoppable. Work this out okay?
I used to play this compulsively, and I don't know how many hours total I've wasted on it but it's a pretty scary amount. Also, reminds me of the good ol' 05 days. :) An absolute classic in my heart.
The graphics were pretty lovely, and the animation amazingly fluid, the only real problem is in the ninja level the wall hiking is really tricky and awkward and I found myself dead quite a lot.
The music was great (as I would expect from dan) so a worthwhile plug, but the only problem is by 5000 points there are no openings you can actually fit into, and you have to suicide. Work on the difficulty curve.
