[Black & White]

Yes.

Oh man, you're still one of the best in the business, and this new style experimentation is great. The cinematics were nicely choreographed, the overall effect genuinely comes off as a battle. Some off the kills seemed a little flat (there wasn't enough, well, blood, black or not) and some fruitier kill animations would've been better, but I don't know what you're shooting for and this probably conflicts with the style.

Either way; lovely shit.

Having blockhead in my studio would sway me to suicide, but I guess with fan pressure this carries metaphorical gravity with you. Anyway, blockhead finally won my fandom when the series really started to shine last year or so, and I find this a lovely little short.

[Monster's Dream]

Hey, wow.

I wasn't expecting anything mindblowing due to the current NG quality levels in proportion to score, but I fired this thing up and was simply amazed at the style and beauty of the animation. Monster is a charming charachter, as is the whole dreamscape. Not to mention when I checked out the extras, it really put me in perspective of the depth of the project, which most animations fail to do fully (I reccomend all non-flash artists try to grasp the gravity of flash/animation/artistic effort - nowadays I look at anything animated/drawn and take in EVERYTHING-it really does set straight your perception towards the hoards of anonymous artists and illustrators that make everything great around you and gives you a new eye for detail and relish), something only Rocketfingers 2 SE managed last for me. A great peice of animation.

i'm glad you got a chance to look at the extras, and that you can appreciate the work that was put into this and others flashes. Most people just accept things as they are, moving pictures...

but Newgrounds is filled with so many other aspiring artists and thats why i think we get an all around view when we submit.

i agree with this review, next time you watch anyone's flash take it all in. but then think about how much work was actually done, you'd be surprised how some 10 second clips out there took days to make and perfect.

i'm not talking about my piece in this response btw, i mean EVERYONE's work.

I just can't enjoy the humor and general style of this, it feels too much to me like soiling the tankman icon I loved so much with shitty dick jokes etc (thanks for REDESIGNING IT IN '06 TOO fcfjdg), not to mention the memes and bullshit fanboys it's sprouted.

Nicely snyced and REM is great, but gradients are not the answer, plus the subpar animation really is that. The art truly let this one down.

You're certainly improving fast, and this was by far one of the funniest in the series. Still, voicework was either a bit shoddy or just recorded badly, and it took quite a bit away from a very good flash. Still, a good 4.

This would've been a vaguely decent level of animation killed by a totally unorigional storyline, charachter trait set and dialogue, but the voice acting was truly the last nail in the coffin.
